The first successful larva and juvenile production in the development of shrimp farming was carried out by Japanese scientist Fujinaga. This researcher worked on the Penaeus japonicus species, which is considered a very valuable species in Japan. Although he achieved the first successful results in 1934, his work was interrupted by the outbreak of World War II and he was only able to resume his work after the war ended. By the late 1950s, with the entry of some private companies into the field and their financial support, Fujinaga accelerated his work and achieved truly successful results in the shrimp farming practices applied today. As of 2001, shrimp farming has developed greatly worldwide. While 633,000 tons of shrimp were obtained through aquaculture in the world in 1990, this amount doubled to 1,270,000 tons in 2001. Its monetary value is $8.4 billion. Shrimp farming has become an important farming branch in many countries for people to earn income. At Ayot Global, we grow farm-raised shrimp and export them to numerous countries around the world by expanding our farm areas every day.
